Video Title
Can You Eat Around the World in Nanjing?
Category
Cooking & FoodHook
Nanjing isn’t exactly known as an international food city. So today I’m going to see how many different countries I can eat my way through without leaving Nanjing.
High Level Video Summary
I’ll spend the day looking for non-Chinese food around Nanjing and try to eat something from as many different countries as possible. The interesting part is seeing what’s actually available here and how close it is to the food you’d get in the original country.
Detailed Video Script
I’ll start with an easy one like Korean or Japanese food, then try to find progressively less obvious cuisines. For each stop I’ll try one popular dish, see how much it costs and whether it feels authentic or has been adapted for Chinese tastes. The goal is to get through as many countries as possible before the end of the day. Ideally I’d like to finish with something unexpected that I didn’t think I’d be able to find in Nanjing.
Target Audience
People interested in China, food, travel and seeing everyday life in Chinese cities beyond Beijing and Shanghai.

Why will this video succeed?
Most people expect international food in Shanghai, but probably not as much in Nanjing. That makes the search itself part of the video. People can also compare how familiar foods have changed after being brought to China.

I Let Taxi Drivers Choose Everything I Eat for a Day
I’ll spend the whole day eating only at places recommended by taxi drivers. I’ll ask the first driver where they would personally go for breakfast, eat there, then get another taxi and ask that driver where I should go next. The goal is to see whether taxi drivers actually know the best local food in the city.
2 weeks ago Cooking & FoodI Tried Eating in Shanghai for 24 Hours with Only $10
I’ll spend one full day eating in Shanghai with only a $10 food budget. I’ll start with a local breakfast, then try to make the money last through lunch, snacks and dinner. I’ll keep the remaining budget on screen throughout the video so we can see if I actually make it to the end of the day.
